Our In-Office GYN Procedures & Treatments
Our board-certified gynecologists are trained and experienced with the most advanced in-office treatments available, including:
Complete well woman care
The best preventive care measure is the annual well-woman exam. Well-woman care includes a general health history, a sexual health history, a review of medications, contraceptive counseling, menopause counseling, a physical exam and, if needed, laboratory or other testing. Learn more
Endometrial ablation
Excessive or heavy bleeding can impact a woman’s life in many ways. Hysterectomy alternatives are 5-minute, one-time, permanent and non-invasive procedures for premenopausal women who are finished childbearing.
Infertility screening/counseling
Many women feel embarrassed about infertility, and yet it’s more prevalent than you might think. Learning more about the causes and possible solutions of your infertility is the first step to make empowered and informed decisions about what to do next. Learn more
Intrauterine device (IUD)
An IUD is a small, plastic, T-shaped device placed inside a woman’s uterus to prevent pregnancy and is a popular long-term, reversible birth control method. Both insertion and removal is easy and quick. There are several types of IUDs available. Learn more
Pap smear
A pap smear is when a doctor checks for changes that could indicate cervical cancer caused by the HPV virus. How often a woman should get a pap smear depends on several health factors, but the general rule is every 3-5 years starting at age 21. The procedure only takes a few minutes. Learn more
Polypectomy (Resectr)
A polypectomy is a procedure that removes polyps from the inside of your colon or large intestine. Using minimally invasive tools like Resectr™, our surgeons are able to accurately and efficiently target polyp tissue for removal without the risk of bleeding or uterine perforation. Learn more
STD testing/counseling
Talking about sex and your health can feel awkward, but it’s important — not to mention it shows your partner that you care about their health. We can test for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) and infections (STIs) like chlamydia and gonorrhea, as well as many others. Learn more
Colposcopy
If your pap smear test comes back abnormal, a colposcopy is often the next step. This quick and painless procedure can help determine the cause of the abnormality. Many times, abnormal pap smears are caused by vaginal inflammation or infection. A colposcopy can help your doctor find out. Learn more
Endometrial biopsy
For women experiencing abnormal uterine bleeding, an endometrial biopsy may be needed to determine the cause. The procedure is performed by using a thin, hollow catheter to collect tissue samples. Learn more
Hysteroscopy
A hysteroscopy may be used as a diagnostic tool — and to perform endometrial ablation, myomectomy, or placement of permanent birth control. The benefits of a hysteroscopy include no major incisions and a quick recovery for most patients. Our providers use advanced TruClear™ Elite hysteroscopes, which offer high-definition imaging and a “see-and-treat” approach using a single instrument for both diagnosis and treatment in-office. Learn more
Salpingectomy
Has your doctor recommended a salpingectomy procedure? There might be several reasons for this, such as a preventative measure against cancer or as a contraceptive. However, you might be concerned when you hear the word “surgery.” Learn more
Loop electrical excision procedure (LEEP)
LEEP Excision of the Cervix is typically performed after a colposcopy and cervical biopsy have confirmed abnormal pap test results. The procedure involves cutting away abnormal cells from the cervix using a thin, electrified wire loop.
Myomectomy
Women of any age can get fibroids, but they are most common in women who are childbearing age. Fibroids are non-cancerous growths that can appear on your uterus. If left alone, they can grow and cause a lot of pain, discomfort and heavy periods. Learn more
Sonohysterogram
Sometimes a sonohysterogram is needed to investigate abnormal uterine bleeding. It involves inserting a thin catheter through your cervix opening, near the endometrial cavity, where a tiny amount of sterile solution is released and an ultrasound is run. Learn more
Vulvectomy
A vulvectomy involves the removal of precancerous or cancerous tissue located on the external genitalia of women. Different classifications of the vulvectomy refer to the size and depth of the tissue removed depending on the severity and extent of the diseased cells. Learn more
Vaginal Prolapse Repair
Vaginal prolapse can happen to any woman. It is a common condition that occurs in about one-third of women in the U.S. Most of those who experience it have had a vaginal birth. As women age, the risk of a vaginal prolapse increases. Learn more
