Endometrial biopsy
For women experiencing abnormal uterine bleeding, an endometrial biopsy may be needed to determine the cause. The procedure is performed by using a thin, hollow catheter to collect tissue samples. Learn more
Hysteroscopy
A hysteroscopy may be used as a diagnostic tool — and to perform endometrial ablation, myomectomy, or placement of permanent birth control. Loop electrical excision procedure (LEEP)
LEEP Excision of the Cervix is typically performed after a colposcopy and cervical biopsy have confirmed abnormal pap test results. The procedure involves cutting away abnormal cells from the cervix using a thin, electrified wire loop.
Myomectomy

Sometimes a sonohysterogram is needed to investigate abnormal uterine bleeding. It involves inserting a thin catheter through your cervix opening, near the endometrial cavity, where a tiny amount of sterile solution is released and an ultrasound is run. Learn more

A vulvectomy involves the removal of precancerous or cancerous tissue located on the external genitalia of women. Different classifications of the vulvectomy refer to the size and depth of the tissue removed depending on the severity and extent of the diseased cells. Learn more
